Practical Accuracy: Doubles Drill

Live fire training session focused on practical accuracy at speed, using the doubles drill. I shoot from 5, 10, and 15 yards, looking for patterns in my shooting to assess what is going right (or wrong) with vision, grip, and tension. Goal is to stretch this out to 25 yards, but I’m still working to get there.

Basic guidelines:

  • Shoot four strings of 2 rounds

  • Draw time doesn’t matter, focus on a secure grip

  • Time between shots should be 0.25 seconds or less to ensure predictive shooting

  • Assess noticeable patterns, refine your technique, and aim for improvement.
